6th Grade History
6th grade history explores ancient civilizations. Students will learn about the lives of the earliest humans, the development of tools and technology, the transition from the hunting and gathering way of life to the development of agriculture, and the emergence of civilizations in Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Indus River valley, China, and the Mediterranean basin.
Students will develop their critical thinking skills by analyzing how these civilizations were structured, why they were structured the way they were, what allowed them to thrive, and what caused their eventual collapse.
